Growing up in the suburbs as a mixed race African-American female, Cameron Taylor was constantly reminded that she was different from her peers. This feeling of otherness, caused her to be drawn to those who were also considered to be on the fringes of society. From cosplayers to protesters, she often finds a common bond with those that are deemed to be outsiders as well. Though her photojournalist interest are broad, she continually returns to this theme throughout her work.
Cameron Taylor received her BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013 and is currently working as a commercial photographer and gallery docent in Las Vegas.
